Please Note: The inserts come with two large spacer washers that go inside the strut bodies in the bottom of the strut before you fit the insert. You may need to use both washers, just one or none at all depending on the length of the strut body. Several different companies made the front struts for ford while the MK1 Cortina was in production as such there are variations in the length of the struts for these cars…The important thing is to make sure you have full engagement of thread on the large retaining nut (without bottoming out) and that the insert is secure without any free play.
