This replacement Lucas inertia (Bendix) starter motor is suitable for a wide range of classic Ford models fitted with the standard 110-tooth flywheel ring gear.

The 10-tooth, 3-hole fixing starter is typically the later Lucas design, most commonly found on later Mk1 Escorts and Mk2 Escorts.

Important: Due to the age of these vehicles, many have had replacement engines, gearboxes and starter motors fitted over the years. It is therefore quite common to find either a 2-hole or 3-hole fixing starter, and either a 9-tooth or 10-tooth pinion, regardless of what the vehicle originally left the factory with.
