MK1 Cortina / Corsair / X-Flow / Crossflow Engine Mount Kit (XF008)
Previously unavailable, Retroford have designed these engine mounts to allow the later Crossflow 711 block to be fitted into a MK1 Cortina or Corsair correctly and without compromise.
The 711 Crossflow block is approximately 10mm wider than the earlier Pre-Crossflow block. When using original engine mounts, this extra width makes it extremely difficult to seat the rubber mounts correctly and align the fixing bolts. In many cases, the mounts are forced into position, compressing and deforming the rubber and leading to poor fitment.
These Retroford engine mounts have been developed to overcome this issue. They position the 711 Crossflow engine in exactly the same location as the original Pre-Crossflow engine, ensuring that engine position, driveline alignment, and clearances remain unchanged, while allowing the mounts to bolt up easily and correctly.
