MK1 Cortina Injection Fuel Tank (Raw Finish) (CF001R-INJ)

New injection fuel tank for MK1 Cortinas with integral swirl pot made in house and only available from Retroford.
Will fit all models including lotus.
Direct replacement for the original tank.
Zinc plated
8.1 gallon / 36.8 litre capacity.
Can be used on MK2 Cortina but has slightly less capacity than the original MK2 tank (10 gallons / 45.4 litres).
Comes with a fuel sender unit retaining ring.
Standard MK1 Cortina tanks are not suitable for fuel injection applications.
The Retroford MK1 CORTINA INJECTION FUEL TANK has been designed to simplify the installation of fuel injection systems. There is a fuel outlet and return incorporated into the integral swirl pot meaning there is no need for an additional fuel pump or external swirl pot
This fuel tank is ideal for engines fitted with throttle bodies including Zetecs, Duratecs, etc… or any engines fitted with fuel injection.
Dash-6 fittings are incorporated into the fuel outlet and return on the swirl pot on the bottom of the tank.
Fuel fittings for 10mm push on rubber hoses are available (please select below if these are required).
The fuel tank can be supplied with a brand new sender unit – CF002 MK1 CORTINA FUEL TANK SENDER UNIT
Made by Smiths instruments in the UK using the original tooling.
Smiths instruments were commissioned to manufacture these units for ford in the 1960s.
Made exclusively for Retroford.
Includes rubber seal.
