Zetec Black Top/ST170 STD Oil Pump With Billet Oil Pump Rotor (Z123)

The OE spec Oil Pump Gear is fine for standard Zetec engines but this component can fail when used in modified Zetec engines, the original OE spec Oil Pump Gear is made from Cast Sintered Steel and as such can fail at high RPM and due to rapid changes in RPM (both low and high) in modified engines.

Retroford now offers an Oil Pump with an EN24 Billet Steel Gear that has been specifically designed to withstand the extra stresses and forces exerted on it in modified Zetec engines, the Oil Pump Gear also has a micromachined surface finish which increases part life, reduces wear and gives closer tolerances.

Suitable for Normally Aspirated, Turbo and Supercharged engines.

Will fit 1.8L and 2.0L Blacktop engines and ST170 engines only, not suitable for Silvertop engines.

Oil pump comes pre-fitted for ease of use.

Important Note: The oil pump rotor will not fit directly onto your crank, you will first need to dress the four sharp edges of the crank where the oil pump rotor fits over it with a metal file. Please see the second image above for more details.
