SPAX G843AS height and damping adjustable rear coilover shock absorbers for modified Mk1 and Mk2 Ford Escorts using a turreted/outboard rear suspension installation.

Unlike a standard Escort rear damper, the G843AS incorporates a threaded spring platform designed to accept a 2.25-inch coil spring. This allows the rear ride height to be adjusted as part of a coilover rear suspension setup, as well as providing adjustable damping.

The damping can be adjusted on the vehicle, allowing the rear suspension characteristics to be tuned to suit road, fast-road, rally, track or competition use without removing the shock absorbers.

The adjustable spring platform makes the G843AS particularly suitable for competition-style Escort rear suspension conversions where the car has been fitted with rear turrets and the spring load is carried through the shock absorber rather than the original leaf spring arrangement.

Important

These are not a direct replacement for standard-position Escort rear shock absorbers. The vehicle must have the appropriate turreted rear suspension arrangement and be configured to use the shock absorber as part of the rear coilover suspension setup.
